Electronic Assembly Technician

BASIC FUNCTION

Assemble finished products using sub-assemblies, printed circuits, sheet metal and other parts and fasteners. Help in maintaining inventory stock levels and fulfilling orders. Assist in the packaging of products for shipping.

 

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain inventory
  • Generate licenses via proprietary software
  • Building and deploying PC’s
  • Installation of Hardware
  • Installing additional software and firmware
  • Assemble JAVS products
  • Assemble and integrate 3rd party products
  • Hardware component upgrades and replacements
  • Assemble, check functionality, and enclose printed circuit boards
  • Image PC’s accordingly to JAVS Specs
  • Assists Manufacturing Manager in validating the BOM (Bill of Materials)
  • Collaborate with engineers and/or product management during the design phase to gain an understanding of the product.
  • Must have basic knowledge PC components and their purpose
  • Must have basic tool knowledge
  • Check functionality of computers and other products as given.
  • Frequently check e-mail and voicemail, responding in a timely manner
  • Documenting issues, procedures etc.
  • Maintain testing standards and processes.
  • Ensure good communication with superiors, especially regarding significant issues and events
  • Maintain a helpful and friendly working relationship with users.
  • Responds promptly to operational errors reported by users.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.

MENTAL AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to maintain concentration with frequent interruptions.

  • Ability to express themselves by means of the spoken word to interact with co-workers accurately, positively, to report findings to supervisor and to perform training with the end user.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift boxes/objects up to 50 lbs.

 

WORKING ENVIRONMENT AND CONDITIONS

This position involves working in an office environment

 

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • College and or Technical School experience is helpful
  • Must have basic computer knowledge
  • Must have hand tool experience
  • PCB Soldering would be beneficial
  • Knowledgeable in Windows Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrates a personable customer service demeanor.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications—especially Outlook (mail, calendar, and tasks), Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint.

  • Access to manufacturing data via computer stations
  • Assembly Tools
  • Soldering equipment if needed
