Centro Rear Panel
The use of CAT5 cables not only allows for more cost-efficient and timely installations, but can also be used for serial control of the JAVS FlexMic and the JAVS FlexCam. The JAVS FlexMic has been designed for serial control of the three LEDs as well as microphone patterns and muting capabilities. The JAVS FlexCam has also been designed for serial control of internal camera settings.

Microphone Inputs:

The Centro is equipped with 14 RJ45 balanced microphone inputs. Using the JAVS FlexMic allows for serial control through these connectors to provide LED illumination depending on the mode or application, selection of microphone patterns, and push button configuration. Microphones not equipped for CAT5 can use JAVS custom adapters to provide RJ45 audio connections to the Centro. 24VDC is provided by the Centro to power the microphone.

Audio Inputs:

These 3-pin block terminal connectors provide four additional balanced audio inputs that can be used for audio conference, video conference, presentation devices and interpretation services.

These inputs will accept input levels up to 8.2dbu. The A1 connector is typically used for a video conferencing CODECs audio output, and is used in conjunction with the V1 input for the video output of the CODEC. The A2 connector is typically used for a presentation cart’s audio output and is used in conjunction with V2 input for the carts video output. The A3 connector has been designed for audio conferencing; this function has no associated video input. The A4 connector is typically used for an interpreter’s audio input. The V1 and V2 inputs accept any unbalanced composite video signal.

PA Outputs:

Two zoning PA outputs are provided and an additional pink or white noise can be configured for either output. The PA outputs are available via 3 pin block type connector. Record Outputs: These outputs are provided for the JAVS Recorder 7 to record the system audio and video with customizable on-screen titles. The connector is an HDMI type connector, and a custom cable is provided with the purchase of the Recorder 7. These outputs are unbalanced video and are only designed to work with Recorder 7.

Video Conference A/V Out:

These A/V outputs can be connected to any device with a mono unbalanced input for audio, but is specifically assigned to connect to a video conference device to provide conference video and audio to a remote location. The connectors are RCA type; unbalanced mono audio and unbalanced composite video.

Stream Out:

The RCA A/V outputs can be connected to any device with a mono unbalanced input for audio, but is specifically assigned to connect to an A/V streaming device for broadcasting over the internet. The connectors are RCA type; unbalanced mono audio and unbalanced composite video. Configurable, Mutable A/V Outputs: Centro provides 6 additional programmable/mutable A/V outputs that can be connected to any device with a composite video input and an unbalanced audio input. These outputs could be used for multiple conferencing with different camera switching for each output. The RJ45 A/V outputs will need the Centro-RCA adapter to provide unbalanced video and unbalanced audio to the A/V device. These devices could be monitors, VCRs, DVD Recorders or any other device that accepts a composite video signal and mono audio. The video and audio signals can be configured to be totally independent of one another.

Video Inputs, V1-V2:

These RCA video inputs can be used to connect any composite video device but has been specifically assigned to be use for Videoconference and Presentation inputs. Camera Inputs: The Centro provides 8 RJ45 connectors for CAT5 cameras. These inputs provide a composite balanced video input as well as 24VDC power and Genlock to the camera. Serial control through these connectors provides custom configuration of the cameras settings. Cameras not equipped for CAT5 can use JAVS custom adapters to provide composite unbalanced video connections.

USB:

For engineer use only.

Ethernet:

This RJ45 connector provides connection to other JAVS products via Ethernet for control and communication. All configurations are performed over this connection from an external PC. Typically, this computer is a JAVS AutoLog computer, and the Centro is controlled by AutoLog to switch modes, mute microphones, lock cameras and many other features. Power: Power is provided to the Centro by way of a 24VDC external power supply. This external power supply is connected to the Centro by way of a 4-pin DIN type connector.
