JAVS CasePublisher™
CasePublisher is for smart storage – it automatically archives
case files for all courtrooms connected to the network. CasePublisher
also is for efficient delivery – it provides an easy-to-use
system for delivering files to the end user.
Storage
CasePublisher establishes a managed connection with each
courtroom, automatically backing up new case information on a CD
each night. At the end of the week, it automatically archives the
entire week of case files on an official DVD for permanent storage.
Only 52 DVDs are needed for an entire year of files. A tracking
system allows users to quickly locate the disk in the permanent
archive.
For even greater automation, CasePublisher can be integrated with
a robotic transporter. A robotic arm automatically lifts the disk,
puts it in the burner, then stacks the finished disks in a bin for
unloading. Up to 300 disks can be used before operator assistance
is required. A staff person simply loads the CD/DVD disks into the
proper tray – and CasePublisher does the rest. It will even
print high-quality custom labels for each disk, including the disk
number, date range, courtroom and case number.
Delivery
With CasePublisher, any approved user on the courthouse
network can publish case files. Because JAVS uses Windows Media
technology, files can be provided in many convenient formats, including:
- DVD +/- R/RW
- CD-R/RW
- CD Audio
- MP3 Audio
- WMA Audio
CasePublisher allows centralized case publishing. The clerk can
initiate a job in the courtroom, and the file is ready to be picked
up in the clerk's office. The clerk's office can manage all publishing
jobs
from a central location. Additionally JAVS CasePublisher™
provides:
- ODBC-compliant database
- Integrates with Find Case to locate files
- Integrates with Active Directory, Windows Domains or Novell
LDAP
- Software requires installation of JAVS CaseServer and a dedicated
PC with one or more CD/DVD burners.
Additional software may be required to maximize usefulness.
